About Alexis Maldonado

Alexis Maldonado (born 2 September 1997 in La Rioja, La Rioja) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a defender for Belgrano in the Argentine Professional League.

Career
Banfield
In 2013, Maldonado took a test, being seen by Banfield coordinators. He made a second trial in the Province of Buenos Aires, where he was finally selected to be part of the youth team along with two other players from La Rioja.

Three years later, on April 18, he had his first foray into professional football, as he was part of the substitutes' bench in the 0-2 victory against Patronato, but he could not make his debut.

His debut occurred on October 14, 2017, being a starter in the 1-1 draw against Estudiantes de La Plata.

After having played several games with the Drill, on January 26, 2020 he scored his first goal. It was in the 3-3 draw against Patronato, making it 1-1. [4
