About Michael Carter II

Michael "MC2" Carter II (born March 8, 1999) is an American professional football cornerback for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Duke Blue Devils and was selected by the Jets in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL draft.

Carter was ranked as a three–star recruit by 247Sports.com coming out of high school. He committed to Duke on July 4, 2016.

Pre-draft
Bleacher Report ranked Carter as the 34th best cornerback prospect in the draft. NFL draft analysts projected him to be selected anywhere from the fifth to the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft. NFL.com analyst Lance Zierlein projected Carter to be a fifth round pick.
