About Taane Samuel

As of March 2026, Jack Salt is a retired professional basketball player. He officially announced his retirement on 28 December 2022 at the age of 26, citing persistent health issues, including knee injuries and chronic fatigue.
Since retiring, Salt has remained involved in the sport through coaching and mentoring. As of late 2025, he was coaching a high school team from Brisbane, Australia, even touring the United States with them. He also works as a basketball recruiter for Platform Sports Management and has become a vocal advocate for mental health awareness in athletes.
