About Tyler Johnson

Tyler Johnson (born August 25, 1998) is an American professional football wide receiver for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Minnesota Golden Gophers, and was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL draft. He also briefly played for the Houston Texans.

Early life
Johnson attended North Community High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In high school, he played quarterback and defensive back. He committed to play college football at the University of Minnesota as a wide receiver, after receiving offers from Wisconsin, Iowa, and Iowa State.
