About Ryan McDonagh

Ryan Patrick McDonagh (born June 13, 1989) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman for the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Donagh (born June 13, 1989) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman and Drafted in the first round, 12th overall, by the Montreal Canadiens in 2007, he played college hockey for the Badgers at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He also played for the New York Rangers, for whom he served as team captain from October 2014 until being dealt to the Lightning at the 2018 trade deadline.
McDonagh also competes internationally for the United States and was a member of the men's ice hockey team at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

Was re-acquired by the Lightning on May 21, 2024, in exchange for a second-round pick in 2025 and a seventh-round pick in 2024
